Fun thing to try out on your phone if you like colors and patterns 🙂
The next time you want to start a fresh page in a Google Doc, just press CMD+Enter (on Mac) or Ctrl+Enter (if you’re on Windows).
I noticed someone who pressed Enter a dozen times on Google Doc to do this, and that’s when I realized more people should know this shortcut 🙂
Type chrome://restart into the address bar the next time you want to quickly restart Chrome. This also re-opens tabs that were already open.
It’s a little faster than quitting, restarting Chrome and then pressing Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+T.
No Pixel? No problem. You can use ActionDash to get some features similar to Pixel’s Digital Well Being to track how much time you spend on your phone.
ActionDash tells you how many times you unlock your screen, and which apps suck your time away. You can see daily and weekly averages.
Even if you’re an occasional reader of sites like the New York Times or the Wall Street Journal, you’d have been put off by the message that asks you to pay to read more. And if you wanted to bypass these paywalls using incognito, these sites would actually detect it and prevent you from getting around their paywalls.
Chrome is releasing an update that prevents sites from detecting if you’re using private browsing. This means you can open an incognito window and read as many articles as you want on the sites that have a paywall. Potentially.
WhatsApp compresses photos like crazy when you share them with your friends (a 5MB picture becomes 726 KB, losing most details). The next time you’re sharing something, share it as a document to preserve its original quality. Works like a charm.
